The studies of computer science at the university of Erlangen-Nuremberg include a senior thesis (Studienarbeit, three to nine months) after the first half of the studies (Vordiplom) and a diploma thesis (Diplomarbeit, six months) at the end of the studies after the final exams. The goal of these theses is to work on a project and present results afterwards by providing a written report in german language.
