Precomputed Importance Sampling

We present a simple method for cosine-weighted importance sampling of HDR radiance maps. Our technique is well suited for pathtracing-like algorithms that generate only one shadow ray per primary ray. It is also applicable to real-time ray tracing because it has no runtime overhead. Both memory consumption and preprocessing time are very low.
